Marine Spatial Planning (MSP)
The National Indigenous Fisheries Institute engaged Indigenous communities in marine spatial planning to support meaningful participation and assess technical capacity.
The National Indigenous Fisheries Institute engaged Indigenous groups and communities in marine spatial planning discussions in order to gather information about their technical capacity to meaningfully participate in related activities.
A discussion paper was prepared to help with this engagement. It explained in general terms what marine spatial planning is all about – and the potential technical roles and tools that may be involved.
